About Me
Hello and welcome! This journal is devoted to my personal thoughts, writings, otherkin, spirituality and other personal things that matter to me.

Elinox
I took two of my greatest passions, Gaelic and Latin, and through using two words in those languages created a unique name all my own.
Eli - comes from the Gaelic word ealaidh which means an ode or song.
Nox - comes from the Latin word nox/nocte which means night.
With a little bit of creative liberty, we have Elinox which means "NightSong". This is a very personal name for me and is something that I very strongly identify as but since it's such a simple combination of words I felt the need to create something a little more private yet still just as meaningful.

I am not particularly verbose and I don't tend to write in flowery metaphors or beautifully concocted similes. I write in a very straightforward manner; up front and simple. I've been told that I tend to write just like how I talk: down to earth and easily approachable. But every once in awhile I wish that I could compose a glorious painting with words like some authors do. I describe myself and what is such a fundamental part of my being but sometimes I wish that I could accurately convey how something feels or what an experience is exactly like.

In my LJ I will be nothing but honest about how I feel. Sometimes this may come across as simplistic, but please know that I am neither stupid nor uncreative. I merely don't see the point in watering down how I feel with fluff and pretty words. Occasionally I may write with literary theatrics, but I am usually very easy to understand and uncomplicated.

I am original and this is where I share my uniqueness.
